Welcome To Fishing Is Fun – Teaching Kids To Fish

Fishing Is Fun is a 501(c)(3) charity organization that hosts kids fishing clinics throughout
Nebraska at no cost to kids. We strive to teach kids that Fishing is FUN! Our clinics provide
education on conservation, water safety, fish identification, lure types, live bait, knot tying and
casting. Many volunteers and anglers find it extremely rewarding to share their expertise and skills
by introducing young people to the sport of fishing. Upon completion of our clinics each child
receives a rod & reel combo, starter tackle, Nebraska Game & Parks handouts, and a T-shirt.

Parents learn right along with kids and have a fun experience too! Many families head to
a local pond with their children to try out what was learned. Those same parents often tell our
anglers “Thank You”, as they recall fun experiences using their new knowledge and poles.
